The dawn sky was perfectly clear this morning, but after an hour or two of sunshine a fresh layer of clouds will start to move in. During the afternoon, this covering will get thicker and some light snow is forecast for the end of the day, with the snowline at around 2000m, so sadly Val village may be in for some more sleet. At 2500m however, there should be a good 5 to 15cm layer on the ground by tomorrow morning. Temperatures remain warmer than usual for this time of year, with maximums of 3 to 6°C at 2000m and -1°C at 3000m. Meanwhile the North Westerly wind, whilst calm down in the valley, remains violent at altitude, blowing at 70 to 100km/h between 3000 and 3500m.
